The History of Soap
Soap is a method of cleaning that has been around for millenia. Some of the first civilizations to use soap was the Babylonians, Egyptians, and Romans. When they used soap they didn't use it for disinfectant purposes they used it to clean wool for the textile industry and for medicinal purposes. Soap has been used from as early as 2800 B.C. Modern soap making began in the industrial revolution with two scientist named Le Blanc and Eugene-Michel Chevruel.
Those two scientist had made it easier for people to retrieve the materials used to make soap. With that happening during the industrial revolution soap started to become mass produced because people started to understand the need for hygiene. In about a few months soap changed from being a luxury item to an everyday necessity. There is more than just one type of soap. There are soaps for your hands, soap for your face, soap for your body, shampoo, conditioner and others.
Hand soap is used for germs, face soap is meant to get dirt and oil off your face. Then body soap is used to hydrate and cleanse your skin.
